Band camp
Starts July 30th! In preparation for the fall semester, all Marching Knights will attend band camp. Students are instructed in the fundamentals of marching and playing while building connections with fellow band members and learning their fall competitive show. Any conflicts must be communicated with Mr. Metteer at rmetteer@lps.orgÂ
What to bring to band camp?
Instrument
5x7 Flip Folder (can be purchased at any local music retailer)
Filled Water Jug
Sunscreen
Comfortable/Breathable Clothes for Outside Rehearsals
Athletic Shoes
Hat/Sunglasses
It is imperative that students hydrate with water and stay away from excessive sugar prior to and during band camp. Efforts are made to gradually acclimate students to the heat, however, marching band is a physical activity and students should be prepared for accordingly.
